Position Description:

Defense Technical Recruiting is seeking a dynamic and skilled Financial Analyst to provide direct support to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with senior leadership, contribute to strategic financial decision-making, and play a pivotal role in driving the company's success in the defense sector.

Roles & Responsibilities:

· Collaborate closely with the CFO to analyze financial data, assess performance, and identify areas for improvement or optimization.

· Prepare financial reports, presentations, and analysis for executive-level review, providing insights and recommendations to support decision- making.

· Support to external accountant to support reviewed financials.

· Support to external valuation company in support of stock valuations.

· Support to external audit company in support of DCAA Compliance

· Assist in the development and monitoring of financial strategies, budgets, and forecasts to achieve corporate objectives and ensure financial stability.

· Conduct financial modeling and scenario analysis to evaluate business initiatives, investment opportunities, and potential risks.

· Support the preparation of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, in compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards.

· Assist in the coordination of the annual budgeting process, working closely with Company Staff to develop accurate and achievable budget targets.

· Conduct variance analysis to track actual performance against budget and forecast, identifying key drivers and areas of concern.

· Participate in financial audits and reviews, ensuring compliance with internal controls, government regulations, and contractual requirements.

· Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory changes that may impact the company's financial performance and strategic direction.

· Perform monthly company invoicing and reporting.

· Track all account credit/debits via Bank Account register and Accounting Software

· Performs company bill payment actions.

· Perform all actions related to payroll and 401k contributions and uploads.

· Reconcile Company Bank Account and credit card transactions.

· Monitors existing contract execution vs awarded funding levels.

· Supports company billing rate structure determinations.

· Provides inputs to Annual Business Meeting.

· Participates in semi-monthly corporate staff meetings.

· Tags-up with CFO daily.

Qualifications (Required)

· US Citizen with eligibility to hold a DoD secret security clearance.

· Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.

· 3+ years of experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, or related roles, preferably within the defense industry or government contracting sector.

· Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data, draw meaningful conclusions, and communicate findings effectively to senior leadership.

· Detail oriented, well organized, and able to multi-task while handling competing priorities and deadlines.

· Knowledge of federal and state accounting practices, regulations, and policies.

· Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting techniques, and advanced Excel functions.

· Experience with financial systems and software applications (e.g., ERP systems, financial reporting tools).

· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact confidently.

Qualifications (Desired)

· Master’s degree or CPA/CFA certification.

· Current Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) and/or Special Access Program (SAP) Security Clearance.

· An understanding of government contracting principles, regulations (FAR, DFARS), and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) is desirable.
